Dr. Sadoon Sami Sadoon is a renowned gynecologist and obstetrician with over 30 years of experience in the field. He is currently the Group Chief of Women’s Health Services at NMC Healthcare and also serves as a consultant gynecologist and lead for minimally invasive gynecology at NMC Royal Hospital—Khalifa City and NMC Royal Women’s Hospital. Dr. Sadoon has made exceptional contributions towards elevating the importance of women’s health care, which has helped NMC Healthcare become one of the best women’s health clinics in the region. Dr.Sadoon holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Al Mustansiryah University, Baghdad, and has various certifications and degrees, including a certificate from the Arab Board for Higher Specializations in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CABOG), MRCOG (London), CCT (London), FRCOG, and an MBA from Cumbria University, United Kingdom. He is also an Associate Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Before joining NMC Healthcare, he served as the Chief Medical Officer and also a consultant at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children from 2018–2022, in addition to being the Group CMO at UEMedical and also a Senior Advisor at Mubadala Health. He was also the division chief of gynecology, chair of obstetrics and gynecology, and lead for minimally invasive surgery at Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi from 2015 to 2018.
Dr.Sadoon has worked in many reputable hospitals and medical institutions in the UK and the Middle East, and he is qualified and experienced in advanced minimally invasive gynecological surgery from the United Kingdom. Dr.Sadoon is a Surgeon of Excellence in minimally invasive gynecological surgery, accredited by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), and specializes in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, the management of endometriosis and pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, ovarian and uterine pathologies, pelvic reconstructive surgery, etc. He has a keen interest in clinical research, innovation, and medical education and has led numerous studies and various leading CME conferences in the region. With his extensive experience and expertise in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Sadoon is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to women and improving their quality of life.
