Dr. Ameneh Haghgoo

Dr. Ameneh Haghgoo is a highly respected obstetrician and gynecologist, specializing in minimally invasive gynecological surgery. She is the head of the Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery department at Nikan Hospital in Tehran, Iran, where she has been practicing for several years. In addition, she is also the director of the Advanced Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy Fellowship Program.
Dr. Haghgoo received her advanced fellowship in gynecologic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in 2011 and has been working in the field ever since. She has been involved in post-graduate and undergraduate training and has held a six-month fellowship course in laparoscopy. She has also conducted several training workshops in various areas, including trocar insertion, suturing, myomectomy, hysterectomy, ureter dissection, pelvic anatomy, and diagnostic hysteroscopy.
Dr. Haghgoo’s expertise extends beyond just minimally invasive gynecological surgery. She has also worked as part of an endometriosis team, which consisted of a colorectal surgeon, endourologist, and radiologist expert in endometriosis, at Nikan Hospital. Dr. Haghgoo is a member of the Iranian Society of Surgeons and the Iranian Society of Gynecologists and Obstetricians. She is also a board member of the Iranian Society of Minimally Invasive Gynecology and the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy. Furthermore, she serves on the executive committee of NAIGO and ISMIG and is responsible for relations between the two societies.
