Dr. Aparna Devi Gumma

Dr. Aparna Gumma specializes in obstetrics and gynecology with 27 years of experience. She currently serves as the head of the Obstetrics & Gynecology department at the Kings College Hospital in Dubai. Dr. Aparna is also the associate clinical professor at the Gulf Medical University as well as the director of Obs-Gyn Residency training program in Dubai. She was the Maternal Medicine Lead at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and practiced as a Consultant OBGYN in the UK most recently. In addition, she held the position of Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Medical University and Clinical Director for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Eventually, she received her MRCOG and FRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK, and her MRCP and FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She has a wealth of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, having worked at several hospitals throughout the UK. She was an RCOG college tutor and was involved in the medical education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and specialist registrars. She has worked as an advanced labor ward practitioner, attended high-risk pregnancies, and regional preceptor (RCOG) for maternal medicine. She set up exams, worked with Royal College Committees, and was an MRCOG and DRCOG examiner.
