Dr. Fernas E. Sahawneh is a skilled OBGYN who knows how to diagnose and treat a wide range of problems in obstetrics and gynaecology. In September 2017, after five years of residency in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH), he passed the Jordanian board in obstetrics and gynaecology. He knows a lot about giving birth, pregnancy (before, during, and after), fetal and maternal medicine, reproductive issues, gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, and family planning.
Dr. Sahawneh has excelled in her field and ranked first in all her residency years. As Chief Resident of the OBGYN Department at KAUH from 2016 to 2017, she did most of the medical protocols and surgical procedures related to obstetrics and gynaecology, such as abdominal and pelvic sonography. Dr. Sahawneh has great communication skills and treats patients, their families, staff, and other doctors with kindness.
Dr. Sahawneh has a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the Jordan University of Science and Technology. He also has a master’s degree in obstetrics and gynaecology from KAUH. He has also undergone an internship at King Abdullah University Hospital in Jordan and passed the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) Examination Part 1 in March 2015. She is a member of the Jordanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS), and the scientific committee of the Jordan Medical Association in Irbid. She also lectured at the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University for two years and is a member of the OBGYN department at the university.
Dr. Sahawneh’s medical skills include running the labour ward, diagnosing and treating problems with the reproductive system and fertility, dealing with problems and complications in early pregnancy, and taking care of all gynaecological problems. He is very good at getting a good history, doing physical exams and following medical protocols, doing abdominal and pelvic sonography, and doing surgeries. He is proficient in family planning and contraceptive methods.
Dr. Sahawneh’s personal skills include being able to talk to patients and their families in a kind and effective way, working well with others, being confident, and being both mentally and physically agile. He is highly talented, proficient in Microsoft Office, and perfect in presentations and teaching.
