Dr Omar Alelwan, MD, JBOG, FACS, FICRS, is a highly respected Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. Overall, he is widely recognised as an expert in women’s health and is known for his holistic, patient-centred approach to care. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Medical Director at Dubai London Hospital.
Over the years, Dr Omar Alelwan has delivered extensive clinical care, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological cancers. Through this work, he has supported women during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Notably, his calm and reassuring manner, combined with attention to detail, has earned the trust of patients across the UAE. In addition to oncology, Dr Alelwan has significant expertise in advanced minimally invasive surgery, allowing patients to benefit from fewer complications, shorter recovery times, and smaller surgical incisions.
Furthermore, Dr Omar Alelwan has built a strong legacy as an innovator in Emerging Transluminal Surgery. His work in (V-NOTES) in the UAE highlights his commitment to modern surgical techniques. As a result, patients receive advanced care with the latest medical standards. He went on to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the Jordanian Royal Medical Services. where he earned his credentials through the Jordanian Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JBOG), his international training and experience have given him a holistic, thoughtful perspective on women’s health.
Dr Omar Alelwan is constantly developing his skill set by participating in current medical education and contributing to research. His professional interests include cervical cancer screening, HPV management, advanced hysterectomy techniques, and the use of modern surgical technologies. Ultimately, his goal is to provide personalised care to each patient’s needs. Above all, Dr Alelwan remains deeply committed to treating every patient with respect, empathy, and honesty.
