\n Currently based at King\u2019s College Hospital in London, Professor\n Kypros H. Nicolaides is globally recognized as one of the pioneers\n in the field of Fetal Medicine. He is the Founder and Chairman of\n The Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF), established in 1995, which\n has supported international training and major multicenter\n research by donating more than \u00a345 million to global fetal\n medicine advancement. Professor Nicolaides also leads the annual\n World Congress in Fetal Medicine, attended by over 2,000\n specialists from around the world.\n <\/p>\n

\n A distinguished academic and clinician, Professor Nicolaides has\n authored over 1,500 peer-reviewed research papers and more than 30\n medical books. With an H-index of 183 and over 135,000 research\n citations, he holds the highest academic impact in Obstetrics and\n Gynecology worldwide. Over the course of his career, he has\n trained more than 1,000 doctors in fetal medicine across more than\n 50 countries. His work has helped shape clinical standards and\n advance prenatal care globally.\n <\/p>\n

\n Professor Kypros H. Nicolaides\u00a0has developed pioneering methods in\n the early detection and prevention of major pregnancy\n complications, including preterm birth, pre-eclampsia, chromosomal\n abnormalities, and congenital disorders. In addition, he has led\n the development of advanced fetal therapy techniques. These\n include fetal blood transfusion, thoraco-amniotic shunting, laser\n therapy for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, and fetal tracheal\n occlusion for congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He is the proponent\n of the \u2018Turning the Pyramid of Prenatal Care<\/a\n >\u2019 model. This approach emphasizes early, individualized risk\n assessment at 11\u201313 weeks of gestation.\n <\/p>\n
