Dr. Zaher Alwafai has been serving as the Deputy Director of the Department of Obstetrics &\n Gynecology at\u00a0Greifswald University\n Hospital<\/a>\u00a0in Germany. Before his current role, he held positions as a Consultant and\n Specialist in the same department, with a particular focus on Gynecological Oncology and\n Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Zaher Alwafai commenced his medical career as a Resident Doctor\n at King Abdulla University Hospital in Jordan and later completed his residency training in\n Germany.<\/p>\n

He holds a German board (Facharzt) of Gynecology and Obstetrics, awarded by the Medical\n Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Dr Zaher Alwafai has a Bachelor\u2019s degree in\n medicine and surgery (M.B. B.Ch.) from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. In addition to his\n core qualifications, he has pursued various certifications and qualifications to enhance his\n expertise. Notably, he holds certification in Minimally Invasive Surgery accredited by the\n Association of Gynecological Endoscopy, Germany, in 2023. Furthermore, he is a Certified Robotic\n Console Surgeon, having completed Intuitive\u2019s Technology Training Program in Oxford, UK, also in\n 2023. Since 2019, Dr Zaher Alwafai has obtained certification as a senior breast surgeon awarded\n by the OnkoZert Cancer Society in Germany.<\/p>\n

Dr. Zaher Alwafai actively engages in teaching and academic activities. Since October 2019, he\n has been a member of the examination board for the final medical licensing exam in Germany.\n Additionally, he serves as a lecturer in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Thereby contributing to the\n education of medical students at Greifswald University since April 2018.<\/p>\n

Dr Zaher Alwafai has published an impressive number of papers in peer review journals. His\n dedication to advancing medical knowledge is evident in his dissertation, which focused on\n complications with alloplastic materials in pelvic floor reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Zaher\n Alwafai is a distinguished professional with a rich background, contributing significantly to\n the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Through his clinical expertise, academic engagement, and\n continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills he is now a part of\u00a0MEGO Conference 2024<\/a><\/p>\n
