Profile
Dr. Amal Al Fanah, a consultant obstetric gynecologist from Oman, graduated from one of the premier medical universities in the region, The Sultan Qaboos University after which she has gathered experience of more than 20 years working in hospitals and institutions in Switzerland, England, and Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Amal Al Fanah is currently offering her expertise as the senior consultant in ob-gyn at the Armed Forces Hospital in Oman.
Dr. Amal Al Fanah has closely worked in many major initiatives of the government for women and child care including being a part of the National Maternal Mortality Committee from 2014. Her contribution towards the ‘Maternal Near-Miss Review Project in Oman’ conducted by WHO, UNFPA, and the Ministry of Health was commendable. Dr. Amal Al Fanah has journals and publications on Colposcopy, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, and other branches of women’s health care to her credit. She has been able to showcase her specialties in labor ward skills involving complex cases, minimally invasive surgeries, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology over the years.
