With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Hassan El-Motawkel, MD, is at present the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Saudi German Hospital, Aseer. His areas of interest include laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal surgery, and pelvic floor reconstruction surgery. Along with extensive knowledge in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
After completing his medical education at Ain Shams University in Egypt, Dr.Hassan El-Motawkel did his MD from Zagazig University. He has done his fellowships and diploma from prestigious institutions around the world like :
- Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopic Hospital, Haryana, India
- Diploma of Obstetrics & Women’s Health from Dublin, Ireland
- Cosmetic Gynecology Fellowship from American Aesthetic Association, Jordan
- Cosmetic Vaginal Surgery & Rejuvenation Fellowship from the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology (ESAG)
- Fellowship in Assisted Reproductive Technology from the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), India
- Gynecological Surgery Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd)
Dr. Hassan El-Motawkel in his initial years worked at Ghamra Military Hospital in Egypt and then moved on to some of the renowned hospitals in the UK. After attaining the fellowships he moved back to Egypt to be the Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant at the Military Hospital in Egypt. He is a senior member of the ESAG and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). Dr. Motawkel has a medical license from the Saudi Ministry of Health and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
