Dr Kareem Haloub is a distinguished consultant in Obstetrics and gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is recognized for his expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, fetal diagnostics, and maternal-fetal research. With a career spanning clinical practice, research, and education, he has profoundly impacted maternal and fetal healthcare. His contributions have significantly advanced the field, improving outcomes for both mothers and babies.
Dr Haloub began his medical training at the University of Jordan, where he obtained his MSc in Obstetrics & Gynecology and successfully passed the National Jordanian Board and the Arab Board certifications. Moreover, his early career included a pivotal role with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). In this position, he provided vital mother health care to patients in complicated and resource-restricted environments.
In 2015, he returned to the University of Jordan as a postdoctoral clinical researcher and fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He further refined his expertise in fetal ultrasound, genetics, and invasive prenatal procedures. As a result of his commitment to be the best, he relocated to Melbourne, Australia, in 2017. There, he secured a postdoctoral research and clinical training fellowship at the Royal Women’s Hospital, one of the leading institutions in maternal-fetal medicine.

Dr. Kareem Haloub serves as Senior Medical Staff at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. In these roles, he is actively involved in advanced research and clinical advancements in fetal cardiology, preterm birth prevention, and fetal therapy, driving innovations that improve maternal and fetal health outcomes.
He is also a co-investigator in the FAST Trial (Fetal Atrial Flutter and Supraventricular Tachycardia Therapy Trial) and a key contributor to the Australian Preterm Birth Prevention Alliance (APBPA). His scholarly contributions include numerous peer-reviewed articles and journal reviews, further solidifying his reputation as a leading specialist in maternal-fetal medicine.
Beyond his clinical and research work, Dr. Haloub is deeply committed to medical education. He mentors medical students, residents, and advanced trainees in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of specialists.
