Dr. Red M Alinsod

An ex-military doctor with the US Air Force, Dr. Red Alinsod, began his private practice after 17 years of service in the military. Dr. Red is currently the founder of Alinsod Institute for Aesthetic Surgery and the Director at South Coast Urogynecology, Inc.

He is the master brain behind many inventions of instruments for urogynecology like  Alinsod scissors, and clamps and holds the patent for ‘Sling with Bladder Support’ which makes for pelvic reconstruction kits. Dr. Red also is the patent holder of ‘Implants & Procedures for Pelvic Floor Disorder’. His career in the military had opened up his extensive experience in the field of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, which led to his Fellowship in the Accreditation Council of Gynecologic Endoscopy.

After his graduation and residency in Obstetrics and gynecology from Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium, he also underwent medical training at Pacific Union College. With over 36 years of experience, Dr. Red Alinsod specializes in a wide variety of fields like aesthetic vaginal surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, pelvic reconstructive surgery, plastic/aesthetic surgery, and urology.

After his stint in the military, he was one of the Board of Directors at Facey, became chairperson on Risk Management as well and became a Pension Trustee. Many eminent doctors had received his training which made them successful in their respective fields. He has several publications and journals to his credit that prove his medical caliber and expertise. Dr. Red Alinsod’s influential role in the development of aesthetic vulvovaginal surgery is remarkable, which makes him the pioneer of reconstructive medicine.
