Dr Wael Ismail Madkour is a highly experienced Fertility & Reproductive Endocrinology (IVF) Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology at HealthPlus Fertility Center, Abu Dhabi. With over 28 years of expertise, he has worked with leading healthcare organizations in Egypt, the UK, and the UAE. Before joining HealthPlus Fertility Center, Dr Wael held the position of Assistant Director for Medical Affairs and Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant at one of the top fertility centres in the UAE, part of the Dubai Health Authority.

Dr Wael specializes in Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART), particularly in Gynecological Endoscopy. He is also a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ain Shams University in Egypt. His academic journey began with a Medical Degree (MBBCh) with honors from Ain Shams University. Following this, he pursued postgraduate training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in the UK. He obtained membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists in 2000. Following this, he pursued a Fellowship in ART/IVF at the Assisted Conception Unit, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Wael has made significant contributions to regulatory affairs. While at Dubai Health Authority, he led the team responsible for licensing IVF units across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, ensuring regulatory compliance for ART practices.

Dr Wael Ismail Madkour is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, UK, and holds membership in several prestigious societies, including the British Fertility Society, the European Society for Human Reproduction & Embryology, and the Emirates Obstetrics & Gynecology Society. In recognition of his expertise, the Higher Council of Egyptian Universities awarded him his Professorship in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2016.
