Pelvic Pain Management in Gynecology Patients Workshop
A practical teaching program, the Pelvic Pain Management in Gynecology Workshop, is to address pelvic pain in gynecology patients. Pelvic pain is one of the most challenging conditions in women’s healthcare, often requiring careful assessment and individualised treatment planning. Above all, this workshop is geared toward developing management strategies that accompany an accurate diagnosis as a result of a patient-centred approach to understanding pelvic pain.
Participants will gain insight into the various causes of pelvic pain, including gynecologic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and psychosocial factors. Moreover, the goal of this workshop is to provide participants with an understanding of how to apply the theory of pelvic pain management in gynecology to their practice, focusing on practical learning utilising the latest diagnostic tools, clinical algorithms, and an evidence-based structured treatment pathway.
The pathophysiology and classification of pelvic pain provide a clear understanding of different pelvic pain conditions. It also focuses on comprehensive patient assessment and accurate diagnostic approaches. As a result, participants will learn about both medical and surgical intervention options. The program also emphasises effective patient communication and the importance of planning long-term, individualised treatment strategies for ongoing care and improved patient outcomes.
