Perineorrhaphy is a surgical procedure focused on the repair and reconstruction of the perineum—the area between the vaginal opening and the anus. The perineum plays a significant role in supporting pelvic floor structures, maintaining vaginal integrity, and ensuring proper function of surrounding tissues. However, childbirth, trauma, episiotomy, surgical interventions, and age-related changes can lead to perineal laxity, scarring, discomfort, and functional impairment.
Damage to the perineal muscles and surrounding tissues may contribute to symptoms such as vaginal looseness, pain, loss of sensation during intercourse, perineal bulging, and, in some cases, mild urinary or fecal incontinence. Perineorrhaphy is performed to restore muscular support, remove scar tissue, enhance the perineal structure, and improve both function and aesthetics.

This workshop will offer in-depth knowledge of perineorrhaphy, including patient assessment, surgical planning, and step-by-step repair techniques. Participants will learn how to identify candidates for perineorrhaphy, master surgical approaches to optimize outcomes and implement effective postoperative care strategies to enhance recovery.
This workshop will provide participants with fundamental expertise and surgical skills to restore perineal function and improve patient quality of life.
