Dr. Zahid Raza Khan specializes in obstetrics and gynecology with more than ten years of experience. University of Leicester in the United Kingdom awarded Dr. Zahid Khan his MBChB degree upon graduation in 2009. After graduating, he worked in the West Midlands Deanery in the United Kingdom, pursuing national training and practice in obstetrics and gynecology. From 2013 to 2020, he practiced at several prestigious hospitals, including Birmingham Women’s Hospital, Birmingham City Hospital, and Royal Stoke University Hospital. Dr. Khan received the British Board Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynecology after completing his education.
In 2018, Dr. Zahid Khan received his membership in the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Moreover, in 2020, he completed the Advanced Training Skills Modules accredited by the RCOG, with a focus on Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease and Benign Gynecological Surgery: Hysteroscopy. He graduated from the University of Bologna in Italy with a Master’s degree in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery in the following year
In addition to performing complex pelvic adhesions and the frozen pelvis, Dr. Zahid Khan’s scope of practice includes advanced procedures for Grade 4 Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis, such as bladder, bowel, diaphragmatic, and extra-pelvic endometriosis, excision of endometriosis and adhesiolysis, myomectomy for fibroids of all sizes, hysterectomy for uteruses of varying sizes, and day-case surgeries such as robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomies. Establishing a multidisciplinary team and planning surgical procedures for complex endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain in conjunction with urologists, colorectal surgeons, and pain management anesthetists are among his other strong points.
