Dr. Zeeshan Karim Ahmad is a highly skilled and experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon who is especially interested in dermatology. He has been a doctor for more than 19 years and has worked in many places, like the UK and Qatar. He is currently the Head of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology at Health point.
Dr. Zeeshan was one of the first people to use minimally invasive surgery for cosmetic purposes. He is also a key opinion leader in the GCC. He has a wide range of sub-specialties encompassing both aesthetic and reconstructive issues, including post-bariatric reconstruction, orthoplastic reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, hand surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, as well as complex soft tissue reconstruction surgery for cancer, trauma, and burns patients.
Dr. Zeeshan has had a successful academic career. He has published more than 40 papers that have been reviewed by his peers, and he has been asked to speak at a number of international conferences. He has been trained by world experts in various subspecialties and has trained in the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and South Korea.
He offers a range of new techniques and procedures that are rarely done in the GCC, as well as established non-surgical and surgical procedures. Some of his specialties are facial rejuvenation and regeneration, facial aesthetic surgery (blepharoplasty, facelift, brow lift), body contouring surgery (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), laser solutions (skin resurfacing and tightening, tattoo and hair removal pigmentation, vascular lesions), hand and peripheral nerve surgery, minor skin surgery (cyst, mole, and lipoma removal, and skin biopsies), and scar and wound management (complex and chronic).
Dr. Zeeshan has won many awards and done many things, such as getting a BSc (Hons) Distinction in 2002, an MRCS in 2008, a FHEA in 2010, an FRCS in Plastic Surgery in 2015, and a CCT in the UK in 2017. He is also a member, or used to be a member, of groups like the British Burns Association (BBA), the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), the Federation of European Society for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH), the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM), the Royal Society of Medicine, and he is also a member of the Global Regenerative Academy (GRA).
